Responsibilities

Identify and develop relationships with key engineering firms; educate them on Generac solutions to drive specification and acceptance of our products
Provide technical sales support for the Modular Power System, large kW, and Clean Energy solutions both onsite and remotely
Train the electrical engineering community through structured seminars and provide 'train-the-trainer' support
Assist Direct-Sales Teams and Distributors on project-specific opportunities, collaborating with engineering and construction firms to secure Generac as the solution of choice
Support sales tool development and utilization (PDSS, fly-ins, customer visits, Engineering Symposiums, Power Design Pro)
Deliver voice-of-customer insights to Sales and Product Management to influence strategy and product development
Conduct competitive analyses and contribute to product launch planning
Travel domestically up to 50% of the time to engage with customers, partners, and projects

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of technical sales or sales support experience, OR completion of Generac's Market Focused Sales Manager rotational program
Strong understanding of industrial power generation systems, specifically modular and paralleling solutions
Proven ability to influence engineering and design decision-making in a technical sales environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver training and build strong relationships with engineering firms
Ability to collaborate across sales, distributors, and engineering communities while providing real-time market feedback
Comfortable with 50% domestic travel to support customers and business objectives

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience in power generation or engine generator paralleling solutions
