Operations Engineer, GEMS NA Ops Engineering
Amazon is seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented Operations Engineer to address systemic engineering challenges in First and Middle Mile Operations. This role involves collaborating with teams to develop cost-effective solutions for sortation and distribution systems while managing multiple projects and requiring 50% regional travel.

Responsibilities
Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations
Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time
Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors
Effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions
Travel Requirements : 50%
Qualification
Required
4+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE)
Preferred
Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
Experience working with and managing third party vendors
