Responsibilities
Identify Patients who may require special preparation
Support Medical and Surgical Dermatology and Rheumatology providers and nursing staff
Provide Patient education and information regarding surgical procedures
Alert providers of schedule/procedure changes
Discuss procedures with Dermatology surgeons
Prepare exam rooms and room Patients; triage scheduled Patients
Prepare, organize, maintain sterile field for dermatology surgery
Assist with Phototherapy treatment for patients
Maintain high quality procedures for obtaining surgical images using camera
Assist the Dermatology surgeon: prepping, positioning, suctioning, holding retractors, and cutting sutures
Maintain high fidelity procedures for management of dermatology specimens within the clinic, labeling and prepare dermatology specimens for transfer to pathology department
Maintain equipment and work areas -Dermatology surgery and medical clinic areas, assess medical and surgical equipment needs, and maintain supplies and materials
Other duties as assigned

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement
Individual Occupational Requirement: Candidates must meet the following as well as the specialized experience in the next section
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization
Physical Requirements: The work involves extended periods of bending, standing and walking
There is no educational substitution at this grade level
