Responsibilities
Training, deploying, and maintaining manipulation models on physical systems
Building autonomy stacks using imitation learning, RL, and VLA approaches
Developing robust teleoperation and data collection frameworks
Extending state-of-the-art robotics research and adapting it for real-world use
Iterating hands-on with real robots in the San Francisco lab
Collaborating with a highly skilled, design-conscious engineering team
Qualification
Required
PhD (or near completion) in Robotics, Machine Learning, or related field
Strong publication record (NeurIPS, ICRA, RSS, CoRL, T-RO, etc.)
Expertise in robot learning - imitation learning, RL, or classical control
Experience deploying models on real-world robotic systems
Ability to lead independent research and thrive in fast-paced environments
Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
