They are seeking a Planner, Kitting to strategically plan, source, and organize materials for kitting projects, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Production Estimator, Kitting, to review job estimates and determine all materials needed to plan and stage work for customer jobs
Review job tickets and distro to identify pre-kit materials, evaluate required components, and design the final packaging that accommodates all parts
Create a Kitting production plan that outlines material requirements, timelines, quality specifications, quantities, and budgeted costs to minimize variances
Complete requisitions for all required materials—including poly bags, cartons, skids, hardware, and additional kit components
Communicate with department leads to strategize the most effective path for job success
Identify job ticket issues and correct them or notify the Project Manager for updates
Participate in Pre-Production meetings to support ticket entry accuracy and production flow
Evaluate material options to determine the most cost-effective sizes, yields, and press time solutions
Review and maintain the Kitting production plan on a job-by-job basis
Update job plans and tickets for all change orders in a timely manner
Analyze existing process flows and identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the Kitting area
Follow all TBG safety standards to maintain a safe working environment
Perform other responsibilities and project work as assigned

Required

a High school diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
strong understanding of efficient production line operations
excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong teams and networks
exemplary critical thinking skills to effectively solve problems
strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines
a collaborative mindset, while also being able to self-prioritize and work independently when needed
able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization
willing to admit when you make a mistake
