Responsibilities

Provide counsel and advice to Nike, Inc’s Global Sports Marketing team across a range of sports and geographies
Work closely with business partners as well as leaders and teammates across organizations on key endorsement and partnership deals
Manage a team of legal professionals
Negotiate and draft complex contracts, including endorsement, sponsorship, and retail licensed product agreements
Build trusted relationships with multiple stakeholders and provide clear, practical guidance and direction
Set high standards for legal and business excellence and drive processes that ensure timely, high-quality work and advice
Foster a culture of integrity and collaboration

Required

Juris Doctorate degree
Member, in good standing, of at least one U.S. State Bar and willingness to obtain and meet the requirements of membership in the Oregon State Bar through in-house counsel membership or reciprocity, as applicable
6+ years of law firm or relevant in-house experience, multinational corporation experience a plus
Significant and proven transactional experience negotiating and drafting complex contracts
A bias for action with a proven ability to manage multiple clients, priorities and deadlines
Dedicated team player who enjoys managing people and can build trust and relationships at all levels of the organization
Have an unwavering affinity to the power of sport

Preferred

law firm M&A, Finance, Commercial or similar contract-intensive practice group preferred
Experience with sports or entertainment-specific transactions, contracts (endorsement, sponsorship, retail licensed product agreements) and related matters
