Responsibilities
Experience and/or interest in database internals, distributed systems, replication technologies, load balancing algorithms, and design trade-offs among consistency, availability, and performance in distributed systems is required, as are the following skills:
Expert-level proficiency in C programming
Fluency in SQL; PL/SQL is a plus
Solid background in relational database internals and operating system concepts
Good understanding of concurrent programming concepts
Strong software engineering and debugging skills
Track record of delivering high-quality software under time constraints
Strong collaboration skills, particularly in geographically distributed team
Qualification
Required
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
10 years of software engineering or related experience
Experience and/or interest in database internals, distributed systems, replication technologies, load balancing algorithms, and design trade-offs among consistency, availability, and performance in distributed systems
Expert-level proficiency in C programming

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
