The intern will assist in developing and improving equipment and processes used in aerospace component production, while also gaining valuable problem-solving skills and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead Equipment Engineer and Equipment Engineering Team to develop or improve equipment and processes used in the production of aerospace components
Work with the Equipment Engineers to define problems and develop, implement and validate solutions
Support the preparation & modifications of equipment related documentation (Work instructions, Qualification Documents, User Guides, etc.)
Support strategic initiatives for improving organizational efficiency and reducing cost

Qualification

Engineering drawing interpretationCAD software proficiencyMicrosoft software proficiencyTeam skillsProblem solvingEffective communicationOrganizational skills

Required

Completed at least two years (three years preferred) toward a BS in Engineering
GPA of 3.0 (3.5 preferred) or more
Demonstrate competence in one or more of the following areas: Proficient in the use of Microsoft software (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel)
Capability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, with a basic understanding
Demonstrated experience with CAD software a plus (SolidWorks, AutoCad, etc.)
Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations required

Preferred

Three years toward a BS in Engineering
GPA of 3.5 or more
Team and people skills that are required to ensure efficient execution of tasks
Problem solving skills
Flexible and adaptable
Effective communication
Well organized and disciplined
Able to identify problems and willing to make decisions
