Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing data organization that spans engineering, ML infrastructure, and analytics
Define and execute a company-wide data strategy that aligns platform, product, and AI/ML needs
Manage key vendor and technology partnerships to accelerate EarnIn’s data capabilities
Champion a data-driven culture by empowering teams to experiment, learn, and make confident, insight-led decisions
Ensure the data platform is reliable, observable, and cost-efficient, giving teams clear visibility into the performance and economics of their workloads
Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, risk, marketing, and operations to deliver impactful, well-governed data solutions
Shape technical direction across the company to ensure data is treated and leveraged as a strategic asset
Drive roadmap planning, cross-functional initiatives, and operational execution with clarity and rigor

Required

7+ years of experience in data engineering, infrastructure, and systems
5+ years of building and leading engineering teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent experience
Deep expertise with distributed systems (Spark, Flink), event-driven pipelines (Kafka), and cloud platforms
Proficiency in Python and SQL
Strong understanding of database design across SQL and NoSQL ecosystems
Solid experience with CI/CD, Terraform, Git, and modern data orchestration
Proven ability to implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
Excellent communication skills and influence across technical and executive teams

Preferred

Experience with Scala and Databricks is a plus
AWS preferred
