Responsibilities

Design and build core backend systems including APIs, database architecture, infrastructure, and data pipelines

Own features end-to-end—from requirement gathering and technical spec creation through deployment and iteration

Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership to shape technical decisions and long-term platform direction

Work in a fast-moving environment that values experimentation, rapid release cycles, and constant learning

Contribute to a platform designed to improve clinical workflows and enhance the healthcare experience for providers and patients

Required

5+ years of experience building and shipping backend production systems

Strong background with modern backend technologies, such as: Cloud platforms: AWS or GCP, Databases: Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB, Spanner, etc., APIs: REST/gRPC/GraphQL, Data pipelines: Airflow, Dagster, or similar, Languages: Python, Golang, Java/Kotlin, or similar

Experience building something meaningful from scratch—whether at a startup, as a technical lead, or through side projects

Ability to thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and make thoughtful technical trade-offs

Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical decisions clearly
