Cell Integration Engineer

Responsibilities
Develop new formulations for implantable hydrogels
Develop in vitro experimental paradigms and perform experiments to test the effect of new formulations on neuronal viability and differentiation
Collaborate to improve techniques for loading cells into devices and surgically implanting them
Analyze experiments and present results
Qualification
Required
A track record of excellence and creativity in your field as demonstrated by publications, patents, success with commercialization or translation, or other notable achievements
A deep background in neural tissue engineering theory and practice
Practical experience functionalizing hydrogels with biologically active agents
Proficiency in materials engineering methods and techniques
Expert level sterile technique
Thrives when working collaboratively and tackling difficult technical challenges
Excellent communication skills
Commitment to a respectful and supportive work environment
Preferred
Direct experience transplanting stem cells into the nervous system
Proficiency in analytical chemistry
Proficiency in proteomics
Background in biomaterials for nervous system grafts, for example ischemic stroke
