Responsibilities
Understand the overarching business vision for Commercial Insurance in the Small and Lower Middle Market segments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit, define, and document business requirements for systems and processes
Lead and manage project teams to execute product requirements and solution sessions
Act as the primary liaison between business functions, IT teams, and consulting partners to ensure alignment on requirements and solutions
Develop and communicate detailed Product Specification business requirements documentation
Define and document Epics, Features, and User Stories that represent system functionality, along with associated benefits and value for users
Collaborate within an Agile Development environment to define solutions that support business processes
Review work requests and assess the impact of product and system changes on existing workflows
Anticipate, negotiate, and resolve business design issues to ensure project success
Manage the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process to ensure solutions meet business needs and expectations
Qualification
Required
Comprehensive knowledge of P&C and Specialty insurance, including Product Development, Operations, Claims, and IT
In-depth understanding of P&C or Specialty Products, Online Systems, Automated Workflows, and Underwriting Rule Definition
Proven experience in Product Architecture and designing complex technology solutions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently identify and propose alternative solutions
Ability to define/document Epics, Features, and User Stories to support business functions
Exceptional resource management skills to drive projects to successful delivery
Demonstrated experience in managing large technology solution implementations, including requirements management, solution design, and project management processes
Strong understanding of business processes and product functionality, with the ability to identify gaps and proactively suggest improvements
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership
Results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment
