Responsibilities
Programs public safety radios on the Bell County Public Safety radio system
Monitors, maintains, upgrades, and troubleshoots system performance
Maintains and updates radio console software
Schedules work activities and tracks service calls and installations
Maintains radio database and software
Assists directly with internal and external users with service needs and new requests
Works directly with leadership to determine urgency, deadlines, and timelines
Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment
Performs other related duties as required
Ability to work outside standard office hours to include weekends, holidays, and after hours. Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in the department and county attendance policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by experience working with radio or audio systems and programming; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history
Ability to work outside standard office hours to include weekends, holidays, and after hours
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing over 50 pounds
