Alliance Laundry Systems LLC is offering an exciting Buyer/Planner Intern opportunity in their Materials Department. This internship will provide hands-on experience in inventory management, data analysis, and supplier coordination, while contributing to key projects within the company.

Responsibilities

Take part in inventory tracking, audits, analysis, and the implementation of strategies for inventory reduction and optimization

Collect, compare, and analyze inventory and order data between SAP and the Warehouse Management System

Issue purchase orders to suppliers, maintain accurate records, ensure timely order confirmations and deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers to meet production and inventory needs

Maintain accurate computer records for supplier data, effective dates, and related entries

Coordinate parts and materials availability with production scheduling, suppliers, engineering, and quality assurance teams

Develop and manage inventory planning and scheduling methods to achieve Customer Service and Inventory Reduction Objectives

Implement and refine methods such as KanBan, JIT, Vendor Managed Inventory, Demand Flow Technology, supply agreements, and Demand Driven KanBan to continuously improve Materials Planning performance

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Operations & Supply Chain or Business Administration

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in computer use

Ability to perform tasks involving extended periods of sitting, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and minimal lifting

Preferred

Experience with SAP
