Responsibilities
Perform receipt inspections of incoming materials, components, and items against purchase order and specification requirements
Verify material certifications, to confirm traceability
Use standard M&TE such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision instruments
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in accordance with quality procedures
Identify and report nonconforming items and support resolution activities
Participate in internal audits and external vendor surveillances
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, NQA-1, ISO)
Support calibration verification and control of inspection equipment
Communicate inspection findings effectively with quality, engineering, and procurement teams
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Qualification to ASNT-TC-1A standards for applicable inspection methods
Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, specifications, and material certifications
Clear verbal and written communication skills
High level of accuracy and thoroughness in inspection tasks
Ability to lift inspection equipment and work in a manufacturing environment
Preferred
Technical training or associate degree preferred
1–2 years in a manufacturing or quality inspection role preferred
Familiarity with M&TE and basic inspection techniques
Experience with NDE methods and inspection equipment
Knowledge of advanced dimensional inspection tools (e.g., CMM, FARO Arm)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software
