Responsibilities
Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business goals and regulations
Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax planning opportunities and mitigate risks
Analyze the tax implications of major business decisions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and new market entries
Collaborate with various internal departments (finance, legal, operations) and external advisors to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions
Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns (federal, state, and international), ensuring accuracy and compliance
Manage the tax provision process and ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 740)
Maintain and enhance internal controls over tax processes
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tax efficiency and accuracy
Manage and develop direct reports and a global team, allocating resources effectively to meet departmental goals and deadlines
Qualification
Required
Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires professionals to be in office at least 3 days per week
BS in Accounting or Masters in Tax, with CPA certification required
15+ years of experience in tax planning, accounting & compliance
Extensive ASC 740 knowledge, and SEC reporting for income tax
Experience with international tax issues
Understanding of indirect tax concepts & filings
People management experience required
Must be a team player and able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and comply with tight deadlines
Superior organization and verbal/communication skills
