nextSource is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business strategy and technology within their Trading & Supply portfolios. The role involves analyzing business problems, validating solutions, and overseeing business analysis activities to deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities

Create business cases for approval and funding

Maintain clear, traceable documentation from requirements through testing and delivery

Validate solutions end-to-end to ensure they meet business needs

Collaborate closely with software suppliers and developers

Configure and document systems and lead stakeholder engagement and large design sessions

Oversee business analysis activities across projects, set strategic direction, and propose process improvements

Link technical solutions to business strategy in partnership with business stakeholders

Apply knowledge of how competitors leverage IT solutions to gain a competitive edge

Lead stakeholder management activities, build trust, and create opportunities for engagement

Provide interpretive, advisory, and facilitative services using broad and specialized knowledge to help teams achieve outcomes

Coach at least one IT Business Analyst (JG 5 or 6) and contribute to skills development across the team

Identify gaps and help create new best practice materials; serve as a SME for specific tools, techniques, or business areas

Capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements; translate them into system functionality

Assess risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impact

Maintain clear documentation throughout the lifecycle and ensure traceability from business needs through testing and scope changes to final solution

Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control Business Analysis activities within agreed cost, time, and quality parameters

Lead large design workshops and stakeholder management activities

Set direction for BA activities and propose process and practice improvements

Required

Strong domain knowledge across front-, middle-, and back-office functions

Hands-on experience configuring, enhancing, and/or supporting Endur in Trading & Supply environments

Experience with Cmotion, Deal Capture (Front Office), Settlements & Accounting (Back Office), and Tax

Skilled in BA techniques and tools, business process improvement, benefits realization, and risk management; able to ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements through testing and delivery

Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks and tools; able to educate stakeholders on Agile ways of working

7–10 years in IT with team leadership exposure; ability to lead stakeholder management, design sessions, and broader BA activities

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; excellent influencing, interpersonal, and communication skills

Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field

Legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)

10+ years corporate IT experience, including 4+ years as an IT Business Analyst

Familiarity with emerging technologies and an ability to learn quickly

Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills; stakeholder-centric mindset
