Responsibilities
Develop and sustain an externally funded, internationally recognized research program
Deliver high-impact instruction in undergraduate and graduate courses in polymer science and engineering, fostering a dynamic and experiential learning environment
Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers, emphasizing professional development and scholarly excellence
Contribute to the mission of the School, College, University, and broader scientific community through professional service
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Earned Ph.D. in polymer science and engineering or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated record of research productivity, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, professional presentations, and/or grant submissions
Ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and collegially with students, staff, and faculty
Commitment to fostering a world-class research and learning environment in which faculty, staff, and students can thrive
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Knowledge associated with use and application of common instrumentation and methodologies in polymer science and engineering
Preferred
Postdoctoral research experience with clear potential to build collaborative research programs within SPSE and across disciplines
