Head of Brand & Channels (YouTube-first)
Single Grain is a fast-moving, AI-driven digital marketing agency helping top brands like Amazon and Uber grow through Paid Media, SEO, Content, and Creative. The Head of Brand & Channels will own the content strategy across social, events, and newsletters, focusing on building a YouTube-first content engine that converts views into qualified email subscribers and revenue.

Responsibilities
Own and drive the longform content strategy for Single Grain’s 190k subscriber Leveling Up YouTube Channel and the Marketing School Podcast (330k monthly listener podcast) and YouTube channel, as well as the 10k subscriber Leveling Up newsletter. Ensure the content aligns with brand goals, audience engagement, and company objectives
Own end-to-end content calendar: Across YouTube long-form, shorts, LinkedIn, X, IG/TikTok, Threads
Packaging (hooks, titles, thumbnails) - write hooks, cold opens, title directions. Direct thumbnail designers with clear emotional/story-based briefs. A/B test thumbnails and headlines and update based on performance
Lead a team of 5 editors, 1 social media manager, and 1 designer to produce driving viewership and e-mail signups. Analyze performance data and iterate consistently for maximum growth. Hold weekly syncs with team to direct, unblock, and optimize
Create the strategy behind the Leveling Up longform content, including creating video concepts, drafting scripts, concepting thumbnail designs for designers to execute on, and booking studio time for Eric to record content
Lead the creation of webinar topics, manage logistics, and collaborate with internal teams on email follow-ups. You’ll ensure that all webinars run smoothly, from the initial setup to post-event analysis
Own the content topics behind the Leveling Up newsletter, focusing on providing writers with the best possible AI-focused marketing topics that resonates with the 10k-subscriber base to drive conversions for the company. Curate content, track performance, and optimize engagement
Work closely with writers, social media managers, editors, and paid media managers to ensure timely and seamless content delivery across all platforms
Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates, and new content formats. Propose and implement innovative content strategies to keep Single Grain ahead of the curve
Analyze content performance metrics across channels and continuously optimize the strategy to improve engagement, reach, and overall performance. Own KPIs such as MoM growth in YT views, subs, watch time // qualified email subscribers from content // clicks to newsletter // CTR and retention curves and produce weekly performance report on what shipped, what worked, what didn't, what's changing
Ensure our videos drive viewers to our newsletters/waitlists/lead magnets and collaborate with email writer to align on topics and turning strong content into email sequences
Build systems, SOPs & AI leverage to increase efficiencies
Qualification
Required
You've grown at least one YouTube ecosystem from 0 → 500k+ subs (or comparable scale)
You think like a GM: content → analytics → funnel → revenue
You are world-class at programming, packaging, and testing
You have strong taste, strong opinions, and low ego
You move fast: ship → measure → iterate
You can run a small creative pod with clarity and high standards
You understand B2B buyer psychology, attention mechanics, and narrative design
You can translate founder ideas into compelling and performant content
Preferred
Expertise in webinar logistics (topic development, technical setup, email follow-ups) with a focus on seamless execution
Experience managing high volumes of content, especially in a fast-evolving industry like digital marketing
