Responsibilities
Own companywide financial strategy, multi-year operating plan, and scenario modeling
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting across all departments
Build unit economics, loss ratio modeling, CAC/LTV, retention, and GWP growth models
Deliver monthly financial reporting and variance analysis to CEO and Board
Partner with leadership team on ROI analysis for headcount, technology, distribution, and product investments
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
Ensure GAAP compliance and financial statement accuracy
Lead external audits, Tax filings, and technical accounting matters
Prepare Board Decks
Investor reporting packages
Financial diligence materials
Partner with CEO on: Runway forecasting
Capital efficiency
Valuation modeling
Serve as primary financial lead for investor Q&A and data rooms
Own GWP, net vs gross revenue tracking
Carrier capacity economics
Commission and fee revenue structure
Reinsurance program financial modeling
Develop a high ownership, execution first finance culture
Oversee Data integrity
Fraud prevention
Financial policy governance
Own all financial policies including: Spend authorization
T&E
Vendor onboarding
Contract financial review
Act as a partner to all departments
Partner with HR on: Compensation modeling
Equity planning
Hiring plan affordability
Support M&A analysis, integration, and post-acquisition modeling
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles
Prior experience in SaaS, FinTech, InsurTech, or regulated financial services
Experience in FP&A, Accounting, Capital planning, Audit & Compliance, Revenue recognition
Highly hands on

Bachelor's degree
