Construction
Responsibilities
Assist with plan set creation, including drafting site plans and solar array layouts in AutoCAD
Model Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system performance in Helioscope and Aurora
Perform Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage (BESS) and EV Charging Station (EVCS) system design and calculations
Maintain Engineering drawing databases and support the engineering process by updating existing and creating new documentation
Work closely with development, project management, and installation teams to ensure system designs are accurate, constructible, and code-compliant
Assist the Engineering Team and other departments with various technical tasks
Handle confidential data professionally
Additional tasks as assigned by the management team(s)
Qualification
Required
Strong proficiency in CAD software
Thorough understanding of distributed energy systems (primarily Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage, and Electric Vehicle Charging)
Passion for sustainable energy
Experience with solar photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage (BESS) and/or electric vehicle charging (EVCS) system design
Moderate to advanced AutoCAD 2D drafting abilities
Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
Good communication, teamwork and problem solving skills
Solution-oriented mindset
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently
Action & Results Focus – initiating tasks and focusing on accomplishment
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to be coached and mentored
Minimum 2 years Drafting/Engineering experience as an individual contributor
Preferred
Experience with Aurora, Helioscope and/or Energy Toolbase
Experience with Sketchup
Experience with solar photovoltaic (PV) installation and/or general construction
Experience operating drones and maintenance skills. Holding a drone's pilot license is a plus
Familiarity with National Electric Code (NEC) and other building codes
Some college(s) preferred
