Responsibilities
Collaborate with a small, supportive, and cross-functional team of Software Engineers
Support our propulsion test and development teams with a cutting-edge data processing, automation, and visualization framework
Build high quality and reliable software while balancing agility and ability to deliver timely value to stakeholders
Implement and maintain automated tests to support high-impact, fearless refactoring and ensure smooth, bug-free deployments
Leverage CI/CD, GitOps, and other modern development practices to keep velocity high and toil low
Participate in task planning and estimation alongside experienced mentors
Create clear and concise documentation
Qualification
Required
Engineering or Computer Science degree, or equivalent experience as a Software Engineer
Proficiency with Python
Proficiency with a statically typed and compiled language (such as C++ or Rust)
Experience with writing queries for SQL databases
Experience with Linux and shell scripting
Comfortable with a container-based development workflow
Excellent problem solving, project management, and communication skills
US CITIZENSHIP, PERMANENT RESIDENCY, REFUGEE OR ASYLUM STATUS IS REQUIRED
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred
Master's degree in engineering or computer science
Experience developing software in aerospace or other highly technical field
Experience working with time-series data
