The Waldinger Corporation is seeking a dynamic Manager of Accounting – Mergers & Acquisitions and Process Optimization to join our Corporate Accounting team in Des Moines, Iowa. The role involves leading financial integrations of acquired entities and driving process improvements across the accounting function.

Responsibilities

Lead accounting due diligence and post-acquisition integration for acquired entities

Evaluate and align processes, systems, and controls with corporate standards

Execute transition plans and monitor integration progress

Oversee team members recording and reconciling M&A transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards

Lead projects that improve corporate accounting and reporting processes

Standardize policies, leverage technology, and eliminate inefficiencies

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements

Implement accounting automation and streamline month-end close processes

Serve as project manager for cross-departmental initiatives

Communicate goals, timelines, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels

Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Operations teams

Monitor emerging trends and tools to strengthen accounting effectiveness

Promote a culture of process ownership and proactive problem-solving

Track and report on process improvements using KPIs and performance metrics
