The County of Yolo is recruiting for a Personnel Specialist II (Confidential) within their Human Resources Department. This role involves being the first point of contact for customers and providing support in various HR functions such as payroll and benefits.

Responsibilities

Receiving and assisting customers who come into the office

Supporting with payroll, personnel actions, benefits, workers’ compensation, risk management, and HRIS activities and updates

Required

Three (3) years of responsible clerical experience in support of various human resources functions such as personnel actions, payroll, benefits, safety/risk management, training, or other similar human resources function

Skilled in computer applications with a quick ability to adapt and learn a new system and processes

Positive, customer focused, self-directed individual who enjoys working in reception or front-desk setting

Comfortable in a fast-paced, detail-oriented position serving the public and County of Yolo employees and departments

Experience managing confidential and/or personnel records, preferably within a government or unionized environment

Some positions in this classification may require incumbents to possess and maintain a valid California driver's license, Class C or higher, to carry out job related duties
