Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements
Design and develop Java microservices with a focus on geospatial data processing, visualization and analysis
Implement and maintain scalable and high-performance solutions
Work with external APIs and libraries to integrate geospatial functionality into services

Required

A Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Experience working with Java
Understanding of microservices architecture and design principles
Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and their interactions
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
A TS/SCI with Polygraph level of clearance

Preferred

Experience with geospatial libraries and tools (ie GDAL, GeoTools)
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS
Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with version control systems (eg Git)
