QA Manager I

Responsibilities

Promotes Quality compliance through effective administration and enforcement of company policies
Responsible for ensuring compliance to internal Quality Assurance guidelines
Promotes employee engagement and development through effective training, feedback, and reviews per company guidelines
Develops and manages standard work for QA department employees
Oversee the development and execution of Quality programs that ensures compliance with company, customer, and regulatory expectations
Develops and manages QA Lab practices in accordance with company expectations
Manages the maintenance and calibration of all essential QA testing equipment
Manages technical training and retention programs for all QA Technicians, QA Leadership, and QAS personnel
Develops and manages an incoming raw materials and packaging program that focuses on specification adherence
Provides periodic QA awareness training per requirements to all location employees
Works closely with R&D on new formula implementation and problem formulas to ensure all QA monitoring parameters are understood and can be effectively tested for
Responsible for overseeing customer complaints resolution with emphasis being placed on understanding cause and preventing
Works closely with peers to improve QA processes and/or resolve QA related product and/or packaging issues
Works closely with Food Safety Manager to ensure all food safety initiatives are consistently met
Works with Food Safety Manager to ensure facilities are audit ready all the time
Ensures compliance with corporate standards and systems to monitor food safety, food safety culture, quality and facility cleanliness
Commitment to safety begins with management. Managers and frontline supervisors are accountable for creating and maintaining a culture of Safety and assuring a safe work environment
Responsible for developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that are Quality Assurance specific, tracking KPI performance, and working with broader peer group to develop improvement initiatives that will improve QA processes and results
Lead by example to ensure our highest quality manufacturing practices are being met
Ensure team members follow all Ken’s Food Safety and GMP policies
Ensure all work is completed in a safe and sanitary manner
Ensure team members produce product free of contamination
Ensure team members Report any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
Ensure team members Inspect work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
