Responsibilities

Write code to transform real-world data into high-signal models
Loading disparate data sets and conducting pre-processing transformation services
Extract insights from airline and aviation data that will revolutionize our business strategy and communicate insights that resonate with partners
Collaborate with the software development teams
Maintaining production systems
Assist with data resource management

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in engineering, data or computer science
Previous experience as a big data engineer or relevant coursework
Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or similar languages
Data Science knowledge
Good project management skills
Good communication skills
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment by consistently revising your approach in response to new information
Eligible for employment in the US without current, or future, need of sponsorship
Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and disciplines
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form with internal customers, required
Strong computer background, including MS Excel and Google Suite application experience (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)

Preferred

Prior experience working with Apache Spark
Experience with Palantir big data platform (or similar platform) or big data coursework is nice to have
Big data engineering or relevant coursework
