Responsibilities

Formulate and maintain Quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
Interpret Quality Control philosophy to key personnel in organization
Develop and implement the Quality Control plan
Review all data obtained during all quality assurance-control activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures
Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance-control activities
Prepare and present technical and program information to the management team
Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality control codes and standards
Lead investigations into customer complaints regarding quality, ensure systems are in place to address customer quality issues, returns, complaints
Continuously develop and improve the adequacy of existing Quality Control procedures and processes
Lead, mentor, and coach QC team by promoting a culture of quality awareness
Maintain effective cross functional relationships
Direct management responsibility for the Global QC team, dotted line at the sites
Manage Continues Improvement projects designed to positively impact the quality control function
Work collaborative with Corporate and customer Quality Control to develop, implement and sustain a quality-based program that meets or exceeds the company and customer requirements
Serve as a quality liaison with Corporate Quality and ensure consistent practices and deliverable meet quality standards
Lead and guide improvement initiatives and make high-value improvements across the program
Prepare, maintain, enforce, and update the Quality Plan to drive performance using ISO standards across all aspects of the Program
Develop and implement program-specific process improvement initiatives
Direct Quality training and implementation
Prepare and submit functional area deliverable on schedule in accordance with requirements
Empower workforce with stop work authority for quality breaches
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and provide guidance on related disciplines
Seek, share and assist in institutionalizing best practices
Establish and track progress toward meeting the goals and objectives of process improvement initiatives
Ensure operational personnel comply with established and applicable policies and procedures
Conduct audits, inspections to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and implement corrective actions as required
Coordinate with Corporate Continuous Improvement functions as necessary
Participate in the identification and implementation of all continuous process improvement activities
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelors degree
Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 8 years at the supervisory level
In lieu of a bachelors degree, an additional 8 years relevant experience required or an Associates degree and an additional 4 years relevant experience
This position requires experience in all aspects of technical manual production
Must have an excellent overview of all governing military specifications as well as a broad knowledge of the TO production process from the receipt of the TMCR and source data through printing and distribution
Must have general knowledge and skills of TO production processes similar to that of writers, editors, illustrators, and other functions
Must have previous experience working in aircraft configuration management
Shall maintain, in hardcopy and or computer-based digital form, an up-to-date library of all related TO military specifications
Must have an excellent overview of all governing military specifications as well as a broad knowledge of the TO production process from the receipt of the TMCR and source data through printing and distribution
Must have general knowledge and skills of TO production processes similar to that of writers, editors, illustrators, and other functions
Position requires a U.S. Security Clearance
Must have experience on aircraft fleet or similar types operated on this program
Spanish Level L-2, R-2 required in LATAM Programs
FAA Airframe and Power Plant License required

Preferred

Masters Degree in Business Administration or Management
Experience in negotiation and customer support
Previous experience working on the Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of State (DoS)
Previous experience working with rules and regulations associated with DCMA 8210
Ability to maintain strong customer relationships
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
