Residential SUD Intake Screening Technician
Mission Edge is a non-profit specializing in LGBTQ+ addiction recovery, mental health, and housing programs. The Residential SUD Intake Screening Technician will interact with residents to support the screening and intake process, working alongside a Treatment Team to ensure residents receive the necessary support during their stay in Residential Treatment.

Responsibilities
Reviews, responds to and/or transfers incoming inquiries from calls, voicemails, and online sources to Intake Team and manages our client call log
Set up and schedules screenings via Zoom for Intake Coordinator
Assist with initial client screenings and intake procedures, as needed
Support outreach efforts and assist with client transportation
Support orientation and screening procedures with potential client sign in, documentation, screening packets and general orientation information
Monitor clients signing in and out for appts/passes. Checks bags upon return and is aware of not allowed items to search for
Monitors visitors (maintains confidentiality), front desk phone, receives mail, packages, deliveries and observes opening of client packages
Helps to route client concerns and assists with reporting client grievances
Attend all internal meetings, and complete all trainings as required in a residential setting
Oversee and maintain all confidentiality and privacy standards for protected health information and other information and materials in accordance with agency policies and procedures, and applicable regulations and laws according to HIPAA
Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to all DMC standards and agency policies
Other duties as assigned or necessary to support the program, office and/or the agency
Qualification
Required
Interest in starting a career in the Substance Use Disorder field
Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or within 90 days of hire)
Cultural competency and understanding working in the social determinants of health impacting LGBTQI+ communities
Strong verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a group setting
Ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities within a residential setting
Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management skills
Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner according to program expectations
Ability to meet deadlines with documentation according to state, county, and program expectations
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred
1 to 2 years' experience serving residents in a human services setting
Previous experience working in an SUD residential program setting
Experience with Smartcare and/or other forms of electronic health records
Experience with Optum – SUDPOH county forms used for SUD documentation
Written and spoken bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
