Responsibilities
Develop and implement product strategies that enhance the API trader's customer experience, increase engagement and retention, and drive business growth
Conduct research to identify customer needs and pain points and develop strategies to maximize the trading experience and ensure industry-leading API functionality and performance
Own the full product lifecycle for Trading APIs, from ideation and requirements gathering through launch, iteration, and sunsetting
Champion a developer-first approach, ensuring APIs are robust, well-documented, and easy to integrate for both internal and external clients
Drive API platform modernization, leveraging AI and machine learning to optimize performance, automate operational tasks, and deliver intelligent trading features
Define and prioritize the API roadmap based on customer feedback, competitive analysis, and business impact, balancing speed-to-market with long-term scalability
Collaborate with engineering to establish and maintain best practices for API design, versioning, security, and reliability
Establish and monitor SLAs, uptime, latency, and other technical KPIs for API endpoints, proactively addressing issues and driving continuous improvement
Lead go-to-market strategy for new API features, including developer documentation, sample code, SDKs, and sandbox environments
Foster a thriving developer ecosystem by engaging with external partners, fintechs, and active trader communities
Integrate AI-powered analytics and personalization into API offerings to deliver differentiated client experiences and actionable insights
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to the active trader segment, leveraging this knowledge to continuously improve products
Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to senior executives and stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in product management within financial services, with a focus on active traders and options trading
Deep expertise in API product management, including API design, developer experience, documentation, and external partner integrations
Proven ability to drive developer engagement and build thriving API ecosystems
Experience with modern API technologies (REST, WebSocket, GraphQL, OAuth, OpenAPI/Swagger, FIX, GRPC)
Hands-on experience leveraging AI and LLM tools to automate workflows, enhance data quality, and deliver intelligent trading solutions
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and scalable API platforms
Experience establishing and monitoring technical KPIs (uptime, latency, error rates) and driving continuous improvement
Ability to synthesize complex technical and business requirements into actionable product strategies
Experience working with external developer communities, fintech partners, and third-party integrations
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance for API-based trading platforms
Excellent execution of product management responsibilities and best practices in an agile organization
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to seek out data and customer insights to improve products and enhance customer experience
Results-oriented with a bias toward action and a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives in high-urgency, high-visibility environments
Commitment to continuous self-improvement, learning, and intellectual curiosity

Extensive background trading Options, Futures, and Equities
Proven experience in the financial services industry, particularly in the broker-dealer space and with a focus on active traders and options trading
Successful track record of delivering successful products in a customer-focused environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex product concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
Clear understanding of regulatory limitations and to ensure that we stay compliant within the scope of our deliverables
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, business, or engineering
10+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on the active trader in the financial services industry with at least 3 years leading a team
Preferred
Experience working with VIP or high-value clients
Demonstrated success launching and scaling new products or features
Experience working in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong understanding of trading platforms, financial technology, and options trading specifically
Currently holding (or previously held) series 4, 7, 63, and 24 licenses
MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
