Responsibilities
Draft and assist with preparing litigation documents, including complaints, motions, and affidavits
File pleadings through NYSCEF and manage court-related documentation
Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings
Conduct basic legal research and summarize findings for attorney review
Communicate with clients, attorneys, and third parties regarding case updates and required information
Organize case files, discovery materials, and litigation correspondence
Qualification
Required
At least 1+ year of hands-on experience in U.S. litigation, ideally NYS litigation
Experience drafting litigation documents (motions, complaints, procedural filings)
Strong command of the English language (written and verbal)
Familiarity with NYSCEF or other U.S. electronic filing systems
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure
Professional work ethic and commitment to client service
Preferred
Paralegal Certificate or legal education (LLB/JD equivalent)
Experience in a boutique litigation firm
Familiarity with U.S. litigation procedures beyond NYS (Federal courts a plus)
