Responsibilities
Serve as a supervisor over the Railroad Trackage Section to approximately 25 subordinate workers
Perform full supervisory responsibility overseeing and directing work operations
Determine the equipment and supplies needed for each work site
Develop performance requirements and make formal and informal performance appraisals
Schedule and approval of leave for subordinates
Qualification
Required
Ability to do the work of an Railroad Maintenance Vehicle Operator Supervisor without more than normal supervision
Ability to Lead or Supervise
Ability to Operate Safely (Non-motor Vehicles)
Ability to Plan and Organize Work
Operation of Motor Vehicles
Performance Management
Completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter
Completion of the Railroad Safety Course within 30 days of being appointed
Obtain and maintain Track Inspector Certification within 1 year of being assigned
Obtain and maintain a valid driver's license to operate a light motor vehicle
