They are seeking an entry level Facility Assessor to conduct Facility Condition Assessment projects throughout the United States, utilizing their expertise to assess the physical condition of client facilities.

Responsibilities

Perform assessments of client facilities using professional expertise and judgment to determine physical condition with specifications and building codes
Ability to understand project work plan and execute based on a client’s requirements
Use tablet-based computer system to identify and document building systems and components and provide justification for determination of the physical condition
Work under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and standard practices. Willingness to collaborate with project team members and be a team player
Assess multiple buildings within large complexes on a daily basis identifying major components and sub-components as well as supporting systems

Required

HS diploma or GED
5+ years of experience conducting Facility Condition Assessments, completing building inspections, or working in one of the building trades with relevant experience
Client requires the ability to successfully pass security background check to access facilities. The level of background check required by the clients, requires US citizenship
Good mathematical aptitude
Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines
Good technical writing skills
Demonstrate computer skills and familiarity with email, texting, and use of internet-based mobility platforms
Experience using SharePoint is a plus
Ability to travel 75%, or more and work flexible hours. Travel could be up to 2-3 weeks, with potential to be longer
Must work well with team members and deal with clients in a positive manner. Must present a clean and professional work appearance, following established dress codes
Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights, and perform moderate physical activity such as walking and standing, in a physically challenging environment, both indoors and outdoors
Be able to pass a pre-employment screening including but not limited to: criminal background checks, previous employment verification, education verification, drug screening, and motor vehicle records
Experience using mobile computer system devices for field data collection
Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Ability to use a tablet and understand data management. Familiarity with mobile computer applications
Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check and possess a valid driver's license
Valid passport or ability to obtain a valid passport

Preferred

Two-year technical college or trade school certification in one of the building trades
Knowledge of facility condition assessment web-based software applications such as BUILDER™ SMS and Vertex ®
Prior military service in civil engineering, construction, or facilities management (AFCEC, DPW, IMCOM, Seabee, PRIME BEEF, RED HORSE, USACE)
