Engine Technician

Hendrick Motorsports, a fifteen-time NASCAR CUP Champion, is currently seeking an Engine Technician. The engine technician is responsible for assembling engines and measuring, inspecting, and assembling components to ensure maximum operating efficiency.

Responsibilities

Clean Engine Post Race and Flush Fluids
Inspect or Change Valve Springs, Pushrods, and Rocker’s
Fill out all MSM, Dyno Sheets, and Confirm Cycles
Maintain and lubricate parts and components for assembly
Verify conformance of parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
Install Spark Plugs, Belts, Intake, and source Fuel Pump for Engine Dyno
Maintain and lubricate parts and components
Service and prep Oil Filters for Engine Delivery
Other duties as assigned by Manager

Required

Repairing – repairing items using needed tools and equipment
Requires working knowledge of basic mechanical skills and competencies
Must have a proven track record of building race engines
Must possess a sound understanding of internal combustion engines
GED or HS Diploma
Must possess strong communication skills and an excellent sense of customer satisfaction
The position requires regular and predictable attendance
Requires vision (near, distance, depth) and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – safety glasses
Requires basic computer skills
Valid Driver's License
