Responsibilities

Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety
Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations
Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Limited Values
Increase site productivity, partnering with site management team, by implementing standard work, line balancing, and removing bottlenecks
Establish baseline, develop measures/targets, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Identify and implement framework and strategy to reduce waste and improve quality, directly impacting the site costs
Use technical know-how for making time studies, material/man/information flows, layouts, etc. for identifying improvements. Lead and/or implement these improvements ensuring controls in place for sustaining results
Responsible for mechanical design and drafting
Employ hands-on approach to data collection, analysis, recommendations of opportunities, and implementation
Introduce innovative ideas and technologies and be a change agent to effectively implement and sustain
Ensure and/or support compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations; Support compliance with ISO 9001-2008
Support daily operational needs as required by our operating model

Qualification

Required

BS Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or have comparative level of experience
5+ years of experience from manufacturing operations, mechanical manufacturing desired
Experience driving manufacturing projects for minimum of 3 years and fluent at training others with these tools
Experience with mechanical design and drafting
Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives
Computer literacy in MS Windows
Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player

Preferred

CAD experience is desired
Experience with SAP and Minitab a plus
