Responsibilities

Perform advanced analysis and research on engineering and scientific problems, using a combination of engineering level tools and finite element analysis (FEA) to assess the vulnerability of structures to a variety of extreme loads
Design engineering solutions to protect structures against the effects of extreme loads and investigate root causes of structural failures
Work within a team of professionals to address these wide ranges of problems. Manage your individual tasks and responsibilities by working with team members to produce meaningful and innovative solutions

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in structural or mechanical engineering - or relevant applied science degree, with excellent academic marks (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
0-2 years of professional experience in engineering mechanics, structural dynamics, and FEA
Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, R, C++
This position is expected to work on US government projects in some capacity. As part of the US government contract requirement, all project staff must be able to secure US security clearance. US security clearance requires the applicant to be a US citizen
