Responsibilities

You will engage and collaborate with Linde’s regional businesses, global customers, OEMs, and suppliers to develop and commercialize new materials, purification technologies, delivery systems, and packaging solutions for their use in the Electronics specialty gases and advanced materials market
Lead New Product Development – drive projects for new product development from concept to successful commercialization
Experimental Design & Execution - design & setup experimental apparatus; plan, run, and/or execute experiments; conduct data analysis, and create efficient presentations for communicating technical results
In this role, you will become an internal technical expert in the field of relevant semiconductor materials
You will ensure constructive alignment with development partners, commercial team, and customers throughout all stages of technology development
In the area of collaborative Innovation you will actively participate in internal and external technical collaborations to identify opportunities for new products and/or development programs
Also, you will prepare invention disclosures and contribute to the development of Linde intellectual property portfolio

Required

Ph.D. in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field is required
10+ years of proven track record of driving new product development and commercialization of semiconductor materials
5+ years of experience with processes related to thin film deposition and characterization
Hands-on chemical synthesis and purification of semiconductor materials is required in this role
Packaging and delivery of high purity materials used in thin film deposition
Material analysis (XRD, TGA, FTIR, NMR, GC-MS, MS, etc.) and functional characterization of (thermal decomposition, flow rate, compatibility, reactivity, etc.)
Fundamental knowledge of physics and chemistry of interfacial phenomena
Ability to work independently and to be flexible in fast-pacing R&D environment with changing priorities
Efficient verbal and written (email, technical documentation, presentation) communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork
