Responsibilities
Optimize NA Distribution Centers balancing service, quality, and cost
Lead automation strategy planning and design aligned with business goals
Develop and communicate goals, strategies, project plans, timelines, and KPIs
Drive ideation, prototyping, and launch of automation solutions
Influence and lead new automation implementations; manage end-to-end projects
Deliver projects within budget and guarantee ROI
Align with Global Automation Strategy and NA Logistics objectives
Present innovative automation ideas using market data
Manage engineering innovation and automation teams
Stay at the forefront of warehousing and distribution technology
Evaluate advancements to improve satisfaction and reduce costs
Use analytics to prioritize opportunities and quantify impact
Build business cases and realize efficiency gains from enhancements
Harmonize distribution operations and WMS systems for productivity
Act as PM for approved projects ensuring effectiveness
Eliminate inefficiencies in NA DCs
Support 3-Year Plan and Annual Budget processes for cost reduction
Accountable for all Logistics CapEx across North America, from budgeting through execution
Collaborate closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure continuous, 24/7 automation functionality and efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in engineering (Mechanical/Industrial preferred)
15+ years in complex logistics environments (80+ SKU, parcel, multichannel)
10+ years designing and implementing automation (AS/RS, AGVs/AMRs, ACR, sortation, vision systems)
10+ years in project management; 7+ years managing multidisciplinary teams in Tier-1 DCs (>500K sq ft)
5+ years managing engineering teams
Black Belt Lean/Six Sigma; proficient in FMEA, DOE, OEE optimization, simulation
Demonstrated $10M+ CapEx justification with experience in process design, optimization, and reengineering
Visionary, strategic mindset; thrives in fast-paced, multinational environments
Preferred
Master's in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering; MBA preferred
Knowledge of SAP WMS (WM-AFS/FMS)
Executive presence; cross-functional influence (IT, Ops, Finance)
