Assistant General Counsel - High Growth Renewable Energy Company
Larson Maddox is a rapidly growing investment firm specializing in solar and renewable energy infrastructure. The Assistant General Counsel will support the firm's legal operations, focusing on commercial transactions and project finance to drive growth in the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), EPC agreements, and service contracts
Lead legal support for project financing transactions, including debt and equity investments, tax equity structures, and joint ventures
Advise on legal risks and mitigation strategies across the firm's development and operational activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, finance, and asset management
Manage relationships with outside counsel and ensure alignment with business objectives
Support corporate governance and compliance initiatives as needed
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Minimum of 6 years of legal experience, with a strong background in commercial transactions and project finance
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or investment sectors preferred
