Post Doctoral Scholar - Dept of Biostatistics
The University of Kentucky is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar in the Department of Biostatistics. This role involves developing methods for analyzing complex biological data and managing statistical analyses for diabetes research projects.

Responsibilities
Develop novel methods and tools for analyzing continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), kinome, RNA-seq, and/or high-throughput array (including antibody array) data under the guidance of sponsoring professor
Manage data generated in the Diabetes Solution COBRE projects, work out routine statistical analyses and study design, including power calculations, sample size determinations and statistical analysis plan
Apply machine learning approaches to integrate diverse datasets collected from study participants to identify subtle differences that may not be detectable using standard analytical methods
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, data science, bioinformatics or related field
R, Python or SAS, statistical analytics experience
None
Sitting for extended periods of time
Strong statistical analytic skills using R, Python or SAS; systematic knowledge in statistical methods and theories; good skill and strong ability in communicating with collaborating scientists
Preferred
Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics, data analysis in biomedical research
