Responsibilities

Provides guidance, advice and recommendations to the AD, and DAD on the SES program, and works directly with DOJ policy officials, SES candidates and Incumbents surrounding unique and/or complex SES-related matters
Oversees the overall planning, direction and timely execution of administrative programs that support the achievement of the EPAS goals and objectives
Implements new policies, management methods, revisions or adaptations outlined in directives
Renders advice and assistance to staff, management, and operations issues such as accomplishing program goals, improving service delivery, and overcoming identified operational weaknesses

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
May be required to serve a one year probationary period
To qualify for GS-15, candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14
GS-15 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Leading a highly demanding operation involving policy and process development AND Providing comprehensive technical and consultative services to management regarding HR policy and procedures; AND Applying communicative techniques in order to meet and deal tactfully and persuasively with others to resolve issues which are often controversial and sensitive in nature; AND Conducting research, analysis, evaluation, and drafting of response using analytical techniques
