Responsibilities
Lead the planning, development, and execution of civil engineering projects with minimal supervision
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships through regular communication, collaboration, and responsive problem-solving
Participate in the preparation and review of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules
Oversee and assign responsibilities to team members to ensure timely and accurate project delivery
Perform detailed QA/QC checks on technical deliverables and ensure compliance with design standards
Navigate entitlement and permitting processes, including rezoning, special/conditional use permits, site plan approvals, and construction document approvals
Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality output
Manage project budgets, invoicing, and coordination with sub-consultants
Support business development, participate in industry events and maintain existing client relationships
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in site/civil design, with a strong portfolio of retail, commercial, public sector, and residential projects
Expertise in site layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, water and sewer utilities, and erosion control
In-depth knowledge of local entitlement and permitting regulations
Proficiency in technical design software: Autodesk Civil 3D (required), Hydraflow Storm Sewers/Hydrographs, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
Proven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse project teams
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for client service
