Responsibilities

Perform HLA antibody identification , serological crossmatching, and associated testing for transplant evaluations
Test, analyze, interpret, and accurately report laboratory results
Monitor quality control, identify trends or shifts, and document findings
Troubleshoot assays and instrumentation using SOPs and manufacturer resources
Serve as an advanced technical resource for fellow CLS team members
Perform complex assays and participate in training and competency evaluations for technicians and other CLS personnel
Contribute to laboratory projects and take a lead role in mentoring junior staff
Conduct clinical testing and analysis of patient and donor specimens, including highly complex manual assays
Validate and record results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laboratory specifications
Apply appropriate control measures and protocols, addressing abnormal results and notifying Supervisors as necessary
Maintain inventory, perform routine preventive maintenance, and document all activities
Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate instrument issues to senior team members
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned specialty areas
Work independently while operating under the supervision of a Supervisor, Director, or designee

Required
