They are currently seeking an Assistant Claims/Risk Manager to support their Claims and Risk Management operations, which includes investigating claims and conducting safety inspections.

Responsibilities
Investigate and evaluate liability claims, verify coverage, and negotiate fair settlements (some property and auto claims included as well)
Conduct annual safety inspections and promote safety awareness through seminars and educational materials
Monitor Risk Management policies and assist in keeping them current
Perform site inspections to ensure proper property coverage and limits
Maintain communication with diocesan personnel, pastors, and administrators
Act as liaison between the Arch/Diocese and CMG Home Office
Assist the Claims/Risk Manager with various risk management functions
Respond to emergencies and claim issues during irregular hours as needed
Qualification
Required
CT Casualty Adjuster license (all lines, except WC) required
General understanding of insurance, marketing, rates, and communications
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Willingness to travel and work irregular hours
Strong judgment and decision-making skills
Preferred
Minimum 3-5 years' experience casualty claims adjusting preferred, but not required
College degree preferred
Familiarity with Catholic Church procedures and hierarchy preferred, but not required
