Waterfowl Research Technician (2 openings)
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking two Waterfowl Research Technicians to assist in a collaborative canvasback study. The primary responsibilities include capturing and marking diving ducks and collecting feather samples for isotopic analysis, working closely with a team in various locations related to the study.

May assist with literature reviews and/or report writing
Collects data and monitors test results according to established research requirements and specifications
Inspects and maintains equipment, supplies, inventory, and facility spaces
Reviews data to summarize results for presentations or reporting
Performs lab and/or field test materials and samples according to established research requirements and specifications. Performs lab or field tests
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in wildlife ecology, biology, or related field
Interest in waterfowl ecology
Good communication skills
Reliable data entry and note-taking skills
Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision
Preferred
Experience capturing and banding waterfowl a plus
