Mid LevelThe Momba Group is seeking a Data Governance Domain Steward to serve as the primary bridge between Data Governance and business Domain Owners. This role involves initiating data product reviews, ensuring ownership gaps are identified, and maintaining governance information for certification and business use.

Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison to domain owners, process owners, and data product owners; attend relevant build/prioritization meetings
Leads ownership and governance gap closure by initiating reviews with domain owners and catalog stewards, escalating as needed to ensure products achieve certification and readiness for business use
Hold office hours and provide training/onboarding so business teams can use the catalog effectively
Partner with the Catalog Steward to define business‑friendly standards and guidance; maintain certification, deprecation, and status updates
Follow up with owners to ensure complete business metadata in the catalog (glossary definitions, use cases, SLAs, lineage context where relevant)
Identify gaps in ownership/readiness; propose and help validate a scalable stewardship model
Partner with the Data Governance Lead on clear, consumable policies and communication to the business
Qualification
Required
Strong stakeholder engagement with business teams in data, analytics, or governance settings
Ability to translate technical governance concepts into clear business guidance and drive accountability
Experience with data product documentation and/or data catalog practices (Alation helpful but not required)
Preferred
Prior stewardship or domain ownership experience
Exposure to data product or data mesh operating models
