Responsibilities

Ensuring the portfolio reflects strategic markets, customer value, and profitable growth opportunities
Prioritizing based on market needs by regularly assessing customer problems and emerging trends to align the portfolio to high-growth, high-relevance segments
Defining and validating solution-market fit by confirming how the integrated solution (hardware + software + services) delivers measurable outcomes
Differentiating segment coverage by ensuring portfolio elements provide clear value across verticals or customer tiers (entry, mid, premium)
Evaluating lifecycle value by considering revenue, customer lifetime value, and retention contributions
Maintaining portfolio health by balancing innovation, enhancement, and legacy phase-outs
Building interoperable, scalable, and modular solutions that deliver outcomes, not just components
Driving platform and modular design through common frameworks that enable re-use (software APIs, hardware platforms, data layers)
Developing an interoperability roadmap with clear integration paths for ecosystem partners (sensors, gateways, middleware, analytics)
Harmonizing technologies by reducing duplication and creating standardized solution building blocks
Enabling the ecosystem by defining partner interfaces and certification processes to expand solution compatibility
Optimizing profitable growth and disciplined resource allocation
Prioritizing investments based on ROI, linking decisions to financial return, market impact, and strategic value
Managing portfolio P&L accountability by tracking revenue, margin, and attach-rate performance by solution family
Rationalizing low-value SKUs or overlapping offers and sunsetting them appropriately
Aligning resources across R&D, marketing, and sales enablement with top strategic bets
Ensuring the portfolio can be effectively sold, delivered, and supported as a complete solution
Packaging solutions through bundles or subscription models that simplify buying and deliver full outcomes
Equipping sales enablement with value propositions, pricing, and competitive differentiation at the solution level
Coordinating cross-functional readiness with sales, delivery, and partners for scalable deployment
Maintaining reference architectures as validated solution templates for repeatable customer use cases
Ensuring solutions create measurable value for customers
Defining outcome metrics using customer-centric KPIs (uptime, throughput, safety, cost avoidance, etc.)
Creating feedback loops using customer input, telemetry, and usage analytics to guide enhancements
Measuring ease of deployment, integration complexity, and time-to-value
Integrating sustainability and compliance considerations (lifecycle, ESG, regulatory) into solution design
Enabling the portfolio team and ecosystem to deliver consistently and adaptively
Driving cross-functional governance through clear decision frameworks for prioritization and resource allocation
Maintaining transparency with portfolio dashboards (revenue by segment, attach rate, innovation mix)
Applying agile program management to deliver solution value iteratively
Collaborating with partners by aligning roadmaps and lifecycle management with strategic technology or service partners

Qualification

Required

7+ years of product management or technical commercial product experience with proven track record of successful product launches
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and product development processes
Ability to translate complex market research into actionable product strategies
Exceptional skills in articulating vision and requirements to diverse technical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while leading cross-functional teams to deliver results
Natural enthusiasm for solving meaningful customer problems through innovative product solutions
Ability to travel throughout US, Canada, and Mexico approx 30% of the time

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred
Previous experience in hollow metal doors and frames manufacturing or commercial building products highly preferred
