The intern will learn about the quality function's relationship with operations in a manufacturing environment, focusing on ISO 13485 and FDA requirements for medical devices, while analyzing current records and identifying risks in the Quality Management system.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute remediation plans for identified gaps based on QMS analysis

Collaborate with team members in production, quality and regulatory to build robust documentation to support audit readiness and process improvements

Deploy a plan for remediation of electronic backups of quality documents

Collaborate with QA staff to improve the calibration system for equipment

Required

Student currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in a related engineering, science, or life science field

Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in manufacturing/operations

Willingness to learn about manufacturing processes and quality assurance through daily activities

Ability to work independently

Strong verbal and written communication

Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve by accepting candid feedback

Excellent project management skills

Strong problem solving skills to make informed decisions

Self-motivated

Organized and detail oriented

Good math skills

Preferred

Experience with Microsoft Office & Oracle
