Responsibilities
Design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs following GD&T and industry standards
Conduct engineering calculations (stress, tolerance stack-up, thermal, materials)
Evaluate design concepts for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA)
Provide engineering support to manufacturing teams for troubleshooting issues
Assist with root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design or process failures
Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and revisions
Assist with prototyping, pilot builds, and validation testing
Conduct FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA) and risk assessments
Ensure smooth transition from prototype to mass production
Create concepts, performance and production criteria
Identify and select materials needed for production
Create parts lists
Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
1-2 years of experience in mechanical design, production engineering, or manufacturing
Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
