Associate Vice President of Student Affairs

Higher Education

Responsibilities

Serves as a member of the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs leadership team responsible for strategic planning, fiscal management, resource development, policy setting, employee/labor relations, and overall administration of the College
Assists the Vice-President in the day-to-day management and administration of the student affairs operations college, including strategic planning, assessing and improving operational efficiencies and effectiveness
Leads and manages the development and implementation of a strategic enrollment plan based on comprehensive market research, predictive analytics, and workforce development needs
Develops short term and long-term strategies to achieve generation, application, enrollment and retention goals
Leverages advancements in technology and marketing to achieve unit goals and support the College’s mission; maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational and technology workshops, joining professional societies, and participating in internal and external meetings and seminars
Collaborate with the Executive Team to develop innovative branding and marketing messaging for publications, advertising, web presence, AI search visibility and all college social media platforms
Coordinates with relevant units across campus to develop innovative recruitment programs and strategies in partnership with faculty, staff, and administrators
Represents the college in enrollment student affairs matters system-wide and within the communities the college serves
Remains current with national and regional trends, developments and issues related to enrollment and student support services in higher education
Oversees policies, procedures, and process of investigating student violations of the student code of conduct
Performs administrative duties associated with maintaining a safe work environment, training employees, communicating job expectations; monitoring and appraising job performance; and managing employee time and attendance in accordance with CCSNH and College policies and procedures, the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement, and state and federal regulations
Complies with all system, college, state and federal rules and regulations
Performs other duties assigned by the Vice-President of Academic and Student Affairs

Required

Master's degree in education, higher education administration, counseling, business administration or related field
Six years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, academic or career advising, or student services/affairs working with student organizations and programs, or related experience within higher education, including four years of supervisory experience
Valid Driver's License or access to statewide transportation

Preferred

Knowledge of enrollment management and student engagement strategies within higher education
Administrative experience in higher education
Effective project management, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of program administration and evaluation
Proficiency with student information systems and the Microsoft Office suite
Experience developing and managing budgets
Familiarity with current issues and trends in higher education
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to foster collaborative relationships and to effectively communicate with diverse student populations and multiple constituents
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Ability to exercise professional judgment, to handle matters with diplomacy and tact, and to maintain confidentiality
